Hello Lovelies! I’m starting an interview category on the blog and today’s interview topic is, ‘Success in Life’. This interview was conducted with Luke Burrows.
A little about Luke. He is a twenty-two year old entrepreneur. He is a full time influencer and mentor from the U.K. He mentors individuals between the ages of 16 and 24, to help them find their life passions and to pursue them. He also helps his mentees to unlock their full potential in both business and life in general.
Luke is the founder of the Grow2Gether community online. His community is geared toward helping young people and young entrepreneurs to stand, rise and grow together. And now, let the interview begin!
1. How would you define success?
“In one word… I would define success as freedom.”
2. When did you consider yourself successful?
“I won’t say that I have acquired success quite yet. I am still doing the necessary ground work.”
3. What do you do for a living?
“I am a mindset coach and a mentor.”
4. What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning?
“The desire to create a positive impact.”
5. List 5 habits you implement for success?
“I start my day early.. usually around 7 am. I review what is and isn’t working currently in my life basically and then I look for what I can do differently. I keep active by playing sports, I think it is important to stay in shape. I also take time off and disconnect when necessary. I practice being consistent in whatever I am doing.”
6. Where do you see yourself in five years?
“I see myself established in my field and having a level of impact.”
7. How do you get through hard times?
“I think of it as something temporary and I try to focus on finding solutions to any current problems.”
8. Tell about a time you wanted to quite but didn’t.
“Well, when I just started out I would get a lot of negative feedback from friends and relatives and sometimes clients wouldn’t show up to our coaching sessions. But what I did was to review my ‘Why’ and then kept on going.”
I personally agree with you on this one Luke. Reviewing your ‘why‘ is often times necessary, especially in the life of a young entreprenuer. It is so easy to get sidetracked with all kinds of worry that we lose focus of our ‘why’.
9. Describe yourself in one word.
“In one word, I’m going to have to go with vibrant.”
10. What is your favorite quote?
“I have a lot but if I am to choose right now I would go with the one by Tony Robins that says, “If you change nothing, nothing will change.”
11. What advice would you give to an aspiring entrepreneur?
“Follow your passion, plain and simple.”
A big thanks goes out to you Luke for doing this interview with me.
“It was my pleasure, anytime.”
